The Nagasawa family trip to Italy and France: June 12 - 30, 2008
(the links are the days in purple; click on them to see pictures)
June 23, 2008:
The next morning, we went to a nice bakery (boulangerie) in Claira. Check out these pastries! Those buttery French croissants are sooooo good.
Then Mari and Richard treated us to a fantastic zoo: the Sigean Reserve Africaine. Half of the experience was driving through areas where animals roamed free. The other half was a more traditional zoo.
Ostriches came up to our cars.
And even up to our windows. They seemed to say, "Your tickets please?"
Zebra and wildebeast.
An ibis interested in its own reflection in our side mirror.
Lions!!
Rhinos!!
Then more tame animals...
And in the walking area: a peacock
But we were all taken with baby Lucas.
Richard, Mari, and Lucas!
Richard was the captain of the blue team.
John and me sitting by the birds.
The two elephants turned their bottoms to face our camera.
Then it was back to Andre and Nicole's house for another delicious dinner!!!
Then came the bbq pork and pineapple, with pasta on the side.
