The Nagasawa Family Photos August 2022
Our beloved Laine family (Mako's sister Mari, her husband Richard, and their kids Lucas and Gabrielle) came from France to visit with us from August 4 - 25! Here are some of our adventures.
Camping at Nickerson State Park, whale watching, Provincetown, biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail
Ogunquit Beach, Duckfat, and Eventide
August 22 - 25: Intervale, NH: Hite's Peak, Diana's Pools, Black Cap Mountain
Then we drove 90 minutes from Portland, Maine to Intervale, New Hampshire. Hite's Peak was what this couple named their house. We rented it as an AirBNB. It sat on the top of this hill, with a great view.
The basement had this basketball shooting arcade game, along with pingpong and foosball.
The next morning, the clouds were rolling through the valley below, which were the towns of North Conway and Conway.
We went to this river and short hike called Diana's Baths.
Lucas pretended to be Gollum.
John found a "bath." He stuck this nine foot branch completely into it to test its depth.
Then, he went in.
When we got back to the house, the kids made an impressive brunch.
Here we are in the evening, playing another game of Werewolf!
The next morning, the clouds were rolling through the valley again.
But the clouds and mist rolled back during the early afternoon.
I spotted a falcon, I think.
That afternoon, we went to Black Cap Mountain Trail, a short hike with a great view.

Interesting spider webs on the trees near the house.
We drove back on Thursday, August 25th. We stopped in Newburyport, Massachusetts for lunch.
That evening, the Laine family said goodbye to Obasan at her apartment.
Then, they came over to our house and we took our last pictures. Notice the Mari-Zoe-Ming lineup from 2008, a full 14 years ago?
Wow, huh?
Then we added Gabrielle!
A similar resemblance on the Richard-Lucas-Mako lineup? :)

And with that, we said tearful goodbyes as Richard, Mari, Lucas, and Gaby headed to the airport. We can't wait to see them again, hopefully in France next year! Until then, we're going to get better at Werewolf -- watch out Lucas and Gaby!
