The Nagasawa Family Photos August 2022
Our beloved Laine family (Mako's sister Mari, her husband Richard, and their kids Lucas and Gabrielle) came from France to visit with us from August 4 - 25! Here are some of our adventures.

Ogunquit Beach, Duckfat, and Eventide
August 22 - 25: Intervale, NH: Hite's Peak, Diana's Pools, Black Cap Mountain
On Sunday, August 21st, we drove out to Maine. We stopped at Ogunquit Beach to cool off.
Then, we went to Portland, Maine to eat dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Duckfat. Here's one of their milkshakes.
This red wine, Gamay, had a nice faintly smoky note.
One Yelp review said that if we didn't order the poutine french fries with duck confit, it would be a crime against humanity.
Very nice salad.
Smoked turkey sandwich.

The Duckfat Banh Mi sandwich. One of the best.
Here we are enjoying a slow morning at the AirBNB house we rented in Portland.
For lunch, we went to Eventide Oyster Company. This place was also amazing!

Richard ordered the Oyster Plate, which had an oyster from various oyster farms from the coast of Maine. It went North to South.
The Scallop Waffle-Yaki.
I think this was one of the specials, a type of fish sandwich.
Battered Casco Bay Pollock. This was the most sizable dish.
This was the Tuna Pastrami, another special. Amazing flavor with the ginger, mustard, relish, and fennel.
